Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Lauren, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2019 and have worked with veterans at the Department of Veterans Affairs since then, supporting people through a wide range of mental health challenges and life stressors.

My approach to therapy

I often use tools from CBT and Motivational Interviewing, but I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Many of the people I work with struggle with overthinking, self-criticism, or feeling like they “should” be doing better—and we spend time learning how to quiet that inner voice and build more compassion for yourself

What you can expect from me

Our first session will consist of us getting to know each other, what your goals are, and how I can support you. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and judgment-free, where you don’t have to have everything figured out before showing up.
