Great to meet you!

Hi!!!! I’m Lauren Livorsi, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and I am so glad you stumbled across my page. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel a bit like jumping into a cold pool, but I’m here to tell you the water is fine and you don’t have to swim alone!

My path to becoming a therapist started at Rutgers University, where I got my Masters in Social Work degree. Over the last 11 years, I’ve dedicated my practice to helping everyday people who are tired of feeling stressed out, overwhelmed, and running on empty. Whether you were dealing with daily life burnout, a racing mind that won’t shut off, or complicated relationship dynamics, I am here to help you sort through the noise.

When I throw off my therapist cape for the day, you can usually find me playing tennis or burning something in the kitchen. I bring my whole, authentic self to our sessions, and I invite you to do the same.

My approach to therapy

Think of me as a co-pilot for your brain and heart. My therapeutic style is warm, interactive, and heavily sprinkled with compassion, and a little humor, because healing doesn't always have to feel heavy!

I don’t do cookie-cutter therapy because you aren't a cookie-cutter human. Instead, I mix and match different tools tailored to what you actually need. We might use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help us untangle those annoying negative thought loops, or Mindfulness, to help you stay grounded when life gets chaotic.

My vibe is a balance of being your biggest cheerleader and a gentle truth-teller who will kindly nudge you out of your comfort zone, helping you quiet the noise so you can get back to feeling like yourself again.

What you can expect from me

First sessions sometimes get a bad rap for being awkward, but I promise ours won't feel like an interrogation! Grab your favorite mug, find a cozy corner where you have some privacy, and just come as you are—sweatpants are highly encouraged.

Our first call is really just a low-pressure 'get to know you' chat. We’ll test out our video connection, talk about what’s been feeling the most overwhelming lately, and chat about what a 'win' looks like for you in therapy. You are in total control of the microphone; you only share what you're comfortable with and at your own pace.

By the time we log off, the goal is for you to feel a little lighter, have a clear game plan for what’s next, and hopefully think, 'Hey, that actually wasn't bad at all!'"
