Great to meet you!

I’m Lauren Muir, LPCC-S, a licensed professional clinical counselor, clinical supervisor, and Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist with more than a decade of experience in behavioral health. I earned my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University and am the co-founder of Martin & Muir Counseling. I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress and burnout, relationship challenges, and major life transitions.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, creating a space where clients can feel supported while also developing tools to create meaningful change. I believe therapy should help you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and build a life that feels healthier and more fulfilling.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in meeting you where you are. I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up authentically, feel heard, and work through challenges without judgment. I use a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach while incorporating practical strategies that can be applied to everyday life. Together, we’ll identify patterns, build on your strengths, and work toward meaningful and sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. I create a relaxed, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can share at your own pace. Together, we’ll identify your priorities, discuss what you hope to gain from therapy, and begin developing goals that feel realistic and meaningful to you. You can expect to leave with a clearer sense of where we’re headed and how we’ll work together to get there.
