Great to meet you!

Operating from the deeply held belief that you are the absolute expert in your own life, my role is to partner with you and put your unique needs, goals, and safety first. My name is Lauren Needles, and over the past five years of my practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, it has been a profound privilege to help adults, seniors, and couples establish a secure, empowering baseline for their care. I work extensively with clients navigating life’s most complex challenges, specializing heavily in anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and trauma. Furthermore, I have spent countless hours specializing in supporting those struggling with substance use and addiction, helping them find a path toward lasting recovery and hope. As an EMDR-certified clinician, I am equipped to help you process and heal from past wounds and deeply rooted blocks that keep you feeling stuck. I am here to empower you to not just get by, but to truly feel your best and live your most fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

I believe that genuine emotional growth flourishes when we balance rigorous, evidence-based practices with a deeply authentic human connection. My therapeutic approach is highly person-centered and solution-focused. Because I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all model, our work together will always be collaborative, compassionate, and focused on where you want to go. To support your healing on a deeper level, I integrate EMDR to help reframe painful memories so they lose their emotional charge, allowing you to finally heal from the inside out. By blending this specialized trauma therapy with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy, we will outline tangible goals and build practical, real-world strategies to help you move forward. Whether we are working on addiction recovery, relationship dynamics, or personal growth, my aim is to provide a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel completely supported as we work toward the life you deserve.

What you can expect from me

Reaching out for support takes immense courage, and it is completely normal to feel a mix of nerves and hope before your first meeting. My hope is that our virtual sessions act as a quiet refuge where you can safely step away from the heavy demands of daily stress. Because I always put my clients first, our first 50 minutes together will be paced entirely by you within a calm, welcoming environment. We will gently explore your history, symptoms, and the challenges bringing you to therapy at a natural, comfortable pace without any pressure to dive into deep topics right away. We will use this initial time to discuss what 'living your best life' looks like for you and outline your client-centered goals. If we are exploring EMDR, we will also discuss how the process works so you feel completely safe and informed. You can expect a warm conversation where you are heard, respected, and left with a clear, empowering vision of how we will collaboratively move forward together.
