Great to meet you!

Lauren Nelson is an EMDR-trained therapist with eight years of experience working in mental health. She helps sensitive, smart individuals overcome anxiety and depression; create meaningful, connected, and authentically empowered lives; and find their place in this world.

My approach to therapy

Many clients, when first seeking therapy, express concerns that something is wrong with them. They do not want to be how they are or feel the way they are feeling. My philosophy is that our emotions (especially the challenging ones) are like a compass, giving us valuable information about what is and is not genuinely right for us. Often times, the path to creating a fulfilling life requires that - rather than trying to become someone more, better, or different - we create a life that is a more authentic expression of our genuine selves.

What you can expect from me

The journey to create lasting change can be overwhelming and challenging. You don’t have to do it alone. I can help you navigate that dark night of the soul to find healing and growth through an authentic, therapeutic relationship. You are welcome here as you are, with all of your grief, pain, and fear.
