My name is Lauren Richardson, LICSW, and I am dedicated to helping survivors of trauma find healing, strength, and hope. I have extensive experience working with individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault, and other traumatic life experiences.
I provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace.
My approach is rooted in trauma-informed care, utilizing a strengths-based perspective that recognizes resilience and empowers growth. I also incorporate creative and expressive techniques, including art therapy interventions, to help clients process emotions and experiences that may be difficult to put into words.
I work with adults, children, and families, taking a holistic approach that honors the connection between emotional, physical, and relational well-being. Together, we will focus on healing, building coping skills, and creating a path forward that feels meaningful and empowering.
In our first session, we will talk through what brought you to therapy. What safety and progress would look like for you, with no pressure to share more than you are ready to. From there we build a plan together: concrete coping tools for anxiety and stress, and trauma-focused work at whatever pace keeps you feeling steady. Many clients notice they feel calmer and more in control within the first few sessions, and sessions are available by telehealth so you can meet from wherever feels comfortable
