Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Lauren Saunders, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) dedicated to helping individuals improve their mental health and overall well-being.

I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from La Salle University and bring extensive nursing experience in inpatient psychiatry, crisis intervention, emergency medicine, and outpatient mental health care. My background includes working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, and substance use challenges.

I am passionate about creating a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their mental health journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I believe that effective mental health treatment begins with listening, understanding each person's unique experiences, and building a trusting therapeutic relationship.

I incorporate evidence-based medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and practical coping strategies to help clients achieve emotional stability and improve their quality of life. I also emphasize education, open communication, and shared decision-making so clients feel confident and actively involved in their treatment.

My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where we can work together toward meaningful and lasting progress.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my priority is to get to know you, understand your concerns, and learn what you hope to achieve through treatment.

We will discuss your current symptoms, mental health history, medical background, previous treatments, and any challenges affecting your daily life. Together, we will explore treatment options and develop a personalized care plan that aligns with your needs and goals.

You can expect a welcoming, respectful, and judgment-free environment where your concerns are taken seriously, your questions are encouraged, and your voice is an important part of every treatment decision.
