Great to meet you!

Hi there! A little about me: I practice with a wide range of people. I really enjoy helping clients get clarity and understanding about what is showing up in themselves and their lives, and how to work with and through it. In addition to my professional training and experience, I bring to my work substantial life experience including extensive experience with 12-Step programs of recovery. I believe in the power of honesty, self-responsibility and action.

My approach to therapy

I am a client-centered, humanistic, existential, and relational therapist, though I incorporate many approaches and tools in my work. What this means is: I meet each client where they are at, and follow my client's inner compass. I seek to support my clients in awareness of choice- Some understand this as "empowerment", some understand this as "getting out of victimhood". I help clients evolve out intergenerational trauma and survival behaviors and into healthy living and thriving.

What you can expect from me

I have a friendly, direct style, and like to have a good connection with my client in session, so that there is a sense of safety, authenticity and honesty. This therapeutic relationship supports clients' ability to be increasingly more themselves, to feel really heard, and to gain clarity about who and how they are in a positive way. Clients may then feel a sense of relief as they move from understanding feelings, experiences, behaviors and choices into healing, shifting, action and change.
