Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working across mental health, substance use, recovery, family systems, and life transitions. My background includes both direct clinical work and leadership in behavioral health settings, which has shaped a practical, grounded approach to therapy. I work especially well with adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship patterns, trauma, recovery, identity shifts, and periods of feeling stuck or overwhelmed. I’m also trained in EMDR and bring a trauma-informed perspective to my work.

My approach to therapy

My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I want clients to feel understood, but I also believe therapy should help create movement. I tend to be active and engaged in sessions rather than simply listening from the sidelines. Together, we look at patterns, relationships, beliefs, coping strategies, and the experiences that may be influencing how you feel and respond today.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, attachment-based work, motivational interviewing, and EMDR-informed principles. I balance insight with practical strategies so therapy can be both meaningful and useful in your everyday life. You can expect empathy, honesty, humor when appropriate, and accountability without judgment.

What you can expect from me

The first session is primarily about getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what has been going on, what you would like to change, and what has or has not been helpful in the past. I’ll ask questions to better understand your history, current stressors, relationships, strengths, and goals, but the conversation is meant to feel natural rather than like an interrogation.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, with a clearer sense of what we may work on together and whether my style feels like the right fit for you. You do not need to have everything figured out before you come in. We can start with where you are.
