Great to meet you!

Finding the right therapist can feel like a lot, and I want to make that first step a little easier. I'm Lauren, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 18 years of experience.

My clinical experience has included community-based mental health, schools, maternal health, substance use and recovery, and private practice. Working across these settings has allowed me to work with people from diverse backgrounds and at many different stages of life. I understand that no two people are the same, and I tailor therapy to your individual needs, goals, and experiences.

These experiences shaped the thing I believe most: meaningful growth happens when you are met exactly where you are, without judgment and without being rushed.

Whether you are managing anxiety, processing trauma, navigating grief, or simply feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, I would love to be part of your path

forward. Reach out when you are ready.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe that each person brings their own unique experiences, strengths, and challenges into the therapeutic relationship, and I strive to meet clients where they are without judgment. I work to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and comfortable being vulnerable.

I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including trauma-informed care, mindfulness, strength based perspective, exposure therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems, and parts work, tailoring treatment to each client’s individual needs and goals. I believe that meaningful therapy is not about having all the answers, but about creating space for curiosity, self-understanding, and growth.

My goal is to help clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves, build on their existing strengths, and feel more empowered to navigate life with greater confidence, clarity, and self-compassion.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a therapeutic relationship based on trust and comfort. We will talk about what brings you to therapy, what you are currently experiencing, and what you hope to gain from the process.

I understand that sharing personal experiences with someone new can feel vulnerable, so there is no expectation that you have to share everything right away. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

We will also discuss your history, current challenges, strengths, and goals for therapy. I will answer any questions you may have about the therapeutic process and work collaboratively with you to determine how I can best support you.

Most importantly, I want you to leave your first session feeling heard, respected, and welcomed. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will work together to create an approach that feels right for you.
