Great to meet you!

Laurie Finberg, LMFT, specializes in treating anxiety disorders and OCD, with particular expertise in thought-based OCD ("Pure O") where compulsions are internal, ruminative and otherwise invisible. She works primarily with adults struggling with intrusive thoughts, chronic worry, perfectionism and anxiety-driven patterns that interfere with daily life, relationships, and decision-making.

My approach to therapy

Laurie further specializes in treating substance use issues often fueled by anxiety. In addition, she treats perinatal mood & anxiety disorders, including Postpartum OCD. Her approach is informed by foundational experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders and advanced training in perinatal mental health.

What you can expect from me

Laurie's clinical career began in Los Angeles, where she practiced across a range of residential and outpatient settings, including the treatment of substance use and co-occurring disorders at Promises Treatment Centers and specialized OCD treatment programs. She later continued OCD-focused work at The Gateway Institute, an intensive outpatient OCD treatment program in Arizona. Laurie is certified through Postpartum Support International and is licensed in both California and Arizona.
