Great to meet you!

I’m Laurie Goldey, a licensed psychotherapist with a heartfelt passion for helping individuals find relief from mood struggles, relationship challenges, and the stressors of daily life. Creating a safe, compassionate space where you can be truly seen and heard is at the core of my practice. Using a blend of mindfulness, solution-focused, and psychodynamic therapies, along with proven techniques like DBT and CBT, I’ll walk alongside you as you build self-awareness, cultivate empathy, and nurture healthier, more connected relationships. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, trauma, or difficult transitions, I’m here to support you with kindness and understanding, helping you create a life filled with more balance, joy, and peace. Together, we’ll take meaningful steps toward healing and hope.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in mindfulness and awareness, essential foundations for meaningful and lasting change. By cultivating present-moment awareness, clients gain clarity and compassion toward their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, opening the door to new possibilities for growth and change. I integrate mindfulness practices with evidence-based therapies such as DBT, CBT, and psychodynamic methods to help clients build emotional resilience, self-acceptance, and deeper connections. With a Master’s degree in Counseling and Psychology, and over a decade of professional experience, I am committed to guiding you through a gentle and empowering journey toward healing and personal growth.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on understanding what brought you to therapy and exploring your most critical concerns. I’ll invite you to share what you already know about yourself—your strengths, challenges, and experiences—that can help me better understand and support you. This collaborative conversation lays the foundation for creating a personalized plan to guide your healing and growth.
