Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who received my education from the University of Central Florida (UCF), obtaining both a bachelor's degree in psychology and social work. I then furthered my education by completing a master's degree in social work from UCF, followed by a second master's degree in mind-body medicine (MBM) from Saybrook University, with a focus on integrative mental health. I am a level I certified Qigong instructor (QI-50) with training in both mindfulness and mediation practices, and a certified addictions counselor (MCAP). I have extensive experience working with individuals presenting with mental health and trauma related concerns.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My passion is helping clients work towards facilitating and actualizing their independent potential through a nurturing, and collaborative approach. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity and compassion and therefore each meeting is tailored to meet specific needs.

What you can expect from our first session

Individualized counseling sessions may benefit those interested in addressing a variety of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, mood regulation, decreasing stress, maintaining a healthy life/work/family balance, relationship concerns, increasing motivation, addressing self-esteem/worth and self-confidence, establishing and/or reestablishing a new positive self-identity, and identifying a sense of purpose. Qigong practices are also available for those interested in adding complementary support for addressing mental health, chronic pain, emotional regulation, and stress-related concerns. Improving physical balance and facilitating a deeper understanding of the mind-body connection are also emphasized for improved well-being. I believe by providing evidence-based practices which afford knowledge, insight into self and others, skills training, and promotion of self-care, you can effect positive change.
