Laurie Warhol

I hold a Master of Social Work from The Catholic University of America and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia with over 31 years of experience. My career began in New Jersey and grew through extensive work in child protective services, where I ultimately served as a program manager overseeing county-wide services. I have expertise in treating trauma, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and family conflict, and have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families across a wide range of settings.

With over 30 years of experience in child protective services and clinical social work, I bring a warm, direct, and solution-focused approach to every session. I specialize in working with individuals and families navigating trauma, family conflict, and life transitions, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and strength-based techniques to help clients identify and build on their own resilience. I believe improving mental health is the key to healthy relationships, and I tailor each session to meet you where you are. Whether you are processing past trauma or working through relationship challenges, I approach our work together with openness, creativity, and genuine care.

My goal in the first session is to listen and understand your struggles so we can begin to discuss a mutual plan for making things better, and helping you work towards being your best self. All sessions are conducted virtually via a secure and confidential link, so you can meet with me from the comfort of your own home. I offer flexible scheduling and work to accommodate your availability rather than fitting you into a rigid time slot. My style is open-minded, solution-oriented, and direct. I am a good listener who values creativity in our work together. I look forward to seeing if we are a good fit.
