Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome—I commend you for taking your first steps. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I have been working in the field for over 25 years, in a variety of settings. At this time, I specialize in working with women and teens ages 14 and up.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Regarding my personal approach to therapy, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental atmosphere. I am focused on short-term, evidenced based and strength-based interventions that help people struggling with issues including stress, peer issues, body image issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, and racial issues (such as navigating life being multiracial). While therapy can be challenging, we can also still enjoy ourselves and even laugh in a safe and open environment.

What you can expect from our first session

I am here to help you develop tools to cope, feel empowered and supported along your journey. Together, we will develop and plan and can work towards improving peer relationships and navigating challenges at work, in high school and at college. Goals can include improving your sleep, feeling less worried and anxious, while helping you feel more calm, centered, and hopeful. I strive to be active and engaging, working collaboratively with you throughout our time together.
