Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner I believe that prioritizing mental health and self care are important to maintaining balance in life. Congratulations on taking the first step to improving your mental health! I have been practicing as a therapist for over 30 years and am the spouse of a retired military service member. My passion is working with people whose work is serving others; military service members, health care professionals, government employees and teachers. I specialize in marriage counseling, anxiety, depression and stress related issues.

My approach to therapy

I am a systems therapist and look at how each person is impacted by their entire system i.e. family, friends, work and school. My goal is to help people learn more about themselves, the choices they make, how they communicate with others and how they cope with the stresses of life. Together we will work towards meeting your specific and unique treatment goals.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy is a big step and can have huge rewards as you work towards a better self and a more fulfilling life. I provide a non-judgmental and supportive environment for you to explore your feelings and develop new skills. I start with an intorductory session, where you will have the opportunity to share about who you are and about the influences in your life. I provide a warm and welcoming environment and we will work together to identify treatment goals that are most meaningful to you.
