Great to meet you!

It may feel weird to be here, but I'm happy you are! It takes courage to take this step!

My background is in substance use and recovery, mental illness, and prevention programming in licensed residential and outpatient settings. I primarily helped adolescents, young adults, and adults. Counseling became something I love because I want to collaborate with and empower folks to define their style of coping, and healing.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My top priority is creating a safe, comfortable space for you. I know this can take time and that's okay! I utilize strengths-based, interpersonal, forms of motivational interviewing and mindfulness practices. While using compassion, the approach to utilize is based on your situation and goals. I try to make each session feel like a "normal conversation" because we're just human at the end of the day!

What you can expect from our first session

I encourage you to reach out to share what's going on, and what you envision for therapy, and see if it is a right fit. In sessions you can expect:

-Increasing self-love and confidence

-Navigating your definition of acceptance, forgiveness, healing, and recovery

-Feeling less stuck and feeling positive about working towards goals

-Increased confidence with managing everyday stressors, feeling overwhelmed
