Greetings! I am Lauro Guzman; I am a down-to-earth clinician, and I take a more casual, relaxed approach to counseling. I prefer working with individuals including adults 18-99. I typically use cognitive behaviroal therapy (CBT) or brief therapy (BT). I have a master's degree in social work and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I often see individuals with depression, anxiety, stress and other issues such as anger management.

My goal is to help you better understand and resolve challenges in your life. We first complete an assessment to gather relevant information about your past and your current circumstances. We can then look for the source of your problem or identify behavior patterns that may be keeping you back from a healthy, balanced life.

I like to work collaboratively with clients. I believe that therapy involves dialogue and interaction between me and the client. You should expect to share your thoughts and feelings, gain insight into your emotions and behvaiors, and learn coping strategies and techniques. You may also have occassional homework to complete.
