Great to meet you!

I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 14 years of nursing experience a hospital setting and under 1 year as an outpatient psychiatric mental health provider. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life. My goal as a provider is simple: to offer compassionate, whole-person care that honors your mind, body, and spirit.

Originally from the Bay Area, I moved to Shasta County in rural Northern California 11 years ago with my wife and our two kids. When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll usually find me spending time with my now-teenagers, playing tennis, working on a DIY project around the house, or singing with our local community choir. My faith is an integral part of my life, and I genuinely love connecting with people—whether that’s my neighbors, coworkers, or the clients I serve.

My approach to therapy

My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive space where you feel truly heard and respected. I believe in treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—rather than just focusing on symptoms. To give you the most comprehensive care possible, we will look at all the factors influencing your well-being. This often means exploring and identifying any underlying physical factors that might be contributing to how you feel, alongside your emotional and psychological health.

Together, we’ll create a personalized care plan tailored specifically to your unique life and goals. My approach combines evidence-based treatments—such as thoughtful medication management and practical cognitive behavioral therapies—with realistic lifestyle adjustments like improving sleep, nutrition, and stress management. Whether you need help navigating a challenging season, managing a chronic condition, or making sustainable daily changes, we will work collaboratively every step of the way to help you acheive your goals.

What you can expect from me

Our initial 60-minute psychiatric evaluation offers a structured, comprehensive assessment designed to evaluate your mental health history, current clinical symptoms, and overall functional well-being. Through a detailed clinical interview, we will analyze contributing biological, psychological, and environmental factors to establish an accurate diagnostic understanding. At the conclusion of the evaluation, we will formulate an individualized, evidence-based treatment plan—which may incorporate targeted psychotherapeutic strategies, lifestyle interventions, or medication management when clinically indicated.
