Great to meet you!

Maybe you can't quite name what's wrong. Things feel off, the worry won't settle, or a low mood has overstayed its welcome, and you haven't put a label on any of it. That's a perfectly good place to begin. I work with teens (16 and up), adults, and couples who sense something needs to change and are ready to look at it honestly. You'll find me direct and warm, willing to ask the questions that actually matter, and not afraid to bring some humor into the room, because the work doesn't have to feel heavy every single minute.

My approach to therapy

I lead with collaboration. This is your therapy, so we set the direction together instead of me handing you a plan. Depending on what you're carrying, I pull from cognitive behavioral and dialectical tools, mindfulness, and motivational work so you walk out with something practical to use between sessions. With couples, I lean on Gottman Method techniques to help the two of you actually hear each other again. My aim is that you leave each session knowing that you have a safe place to vent, and to solve whatever problems you bring.

What you can expect from me

The first session is really me getting to know you. I'll ask about your background, what brought you in, and how you feel that you got to the emotional state in which you find yourself. I genuinely want to hear how you think I can help. There's no pressure to have the right words or to have it all figured out. We'll talk, I'll get a feel for what you need, and we'll map out where to go together.
