Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Laya George, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who enjoys helping children, teens, and young adults navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and resilience. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas and have experience supporting clients with many concerns including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, life transitions, and cultural issues. My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow at their own pace.

My approach to therapy

My goal is to make therapy feel like a place where you can show up exactly as you are. We'll work together to better understand your thoughts, emotions, and experiences while building practical strategies that help you feel more confident in everyday life. I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and play therapy techniques, to guide my work, but our sessions will feel natural, collaborative, and personalized to what you need.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and talking about what brought you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your experiences, strengths, and goals so I can better understand how to support you. There is no pressure to share everything at once, my priority is helping you feel comfortable, heard, and confident that we're creating a plan together.
