Great to meet you!

With a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s in Nursing, both from Columbia University, combined with over a decade of experience in behavioral health and nursing, I have developed a well-rounded understanding of both the physical and psychological aspects of mental health. I’m committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard and respected. I believe that genuine connection and collaboration are essential for healing. Together, we will focus on helping you better understand yourself, uncover the root causes of your symptoms, and determine the most effective path forward—whether through therapy, psychiatric medication, or a combination of both.

My approach to therapy

My approach to providing care is centered on a holistic, individualized treatment plan that integrates both evidence-based therapies and, when needed, medication management. I practice with a psychodynamic foundation, which allows me to explore the deeper emotional patterns that influence behavior. I believe in treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—while addressing the root causes of distress. I work collaboratively with my clients, listening closely to their unique experiences, and tailor treatment to meet their specific needs. My goal is to empower my clients with the tools and support they need to achieve lasting mental wellness.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, the focus will be on getting to know you and beginning to build a trusting, supportive therapeutic relationship. I want to understand not just your current challenges, but also your early experiences and the important events and relationships that have shaped who you are. My approach is rooted in psychoanalytic principles, and I believe that the way we view ourselves, others, and the world is deeply shaped by those early relationships and experiences. This first session is about creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and safe. We’ll also discuss treatment options—whether that includes therapy, medication, or both—based on what feels right for you. My hope is that you leave our first session feeling confident in our therapeutic partnership, with greater clarity, and a renewed sense of hope that meaningful change is possible.
