Great to meet you!

I am Leah Ashton, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Kentucky with 9 years of professional work experience in mental health and wellness. Over the years, I have gained a wide variety of clinical and personal experience. However, I do not claim to be an expert on anything and everything.

I love food-I like to cook, I love gardening- indoor and outdoor, I love animals- I have 5 dogs right now. I love the outdoors- traveling, hiking, kayaking, walking, and I love to stay home too.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy can be called integrative.I try my best to use the best theory that fits the needs of my client/s. I have experience and training on CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Emotionally Focused Therapy.

What you can expect from our first session

I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, family conflicts, coping with grief and loss, & depression. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
