Great to meet you!

I have a master's degree in counseling psychology. I am licensed in my state, and I have 12 solid years of counseling experience. I have done crisis counseling and outreach. I have done residential counseling. I have worked in a large community mental health agency with chronically ill folks as well as private practice settings. I specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, parenting concerns, adult ADHD/autism, neurodiversity, change and transition, chronic illness/pain, stress and overwhelm, multicultural and women's issues.

My approach to therapy

Empathic, compassionate, and warm in my approach. Combine that with advocacy and support for the diversity of life in modern society. I think we all have an important story to tell, and I'm here to listen and help however I can. I embrace our multicultural world of mixed races, genders, ethnicities, those who come from other countries and cultures, religions, sexual orientations, gendered identities, alternative communities, and sub-cultures with acceptance, inclusivity and hope.

What you can expect from me

Confidentiality and safety is my priority in working with my clients. I am a genuine person who entered the field of counseling because I genuinely cared about people and the healing and positive change that is possible. I believe in what I do, because I have seen what is possible when you stop and listen to people and what they have to say. What are your goals? A mood improvement, more manageable anxiety, a better relationship, or tools to overcome certain circumstances. Maybe a deeper understanding of who you are, where you've been, and where you want to be is a good place to start.
