Great to meet you!

I am a licensed professional counselor nearing 10 years in the field, (and a Wissahickon trail lover!) The roots of my practice are oriented in mindful self-compassion. I am a psychodynamic therapist and hope to develop a supportive environment that is unique to your needs using my training skills and developed 'tools.' I practice using creative modalities (values exercises, metaphors, visualizations, meditations) when relevant and in hopes that clients can utilize those tools in daily living.

My approach to therapy

Trained by Dr. Kristin Neff's self-compassion institute, I enjoy supporting new perspectives on kindness/growth and exploring pitfalls of negative self talk. I also have Acceptance and Commitment Therapy intensive training, to better/more flexibly manage life's challenges. Leah is also Internal Family Systems informed, which allows us to understand our 'stuck' parts of self that can lead to shame. I hope to create authentic space to heal in curiosity; cultivating lasting and value laden change.

What you can expect from me

Perhaps you are a young adult, woman, or parent amidst transitions and need support. We co-create treatment plans with goals of symptom relief. You are looking for hope around certain difficulties (ex: boundary development, sleep improvement, decreased anxiety) that can be uniquely tailored to your needs. Initial session we develop rapport and goals, creating healthy pathways with new skills and insights to develop inner resiliency. Positive change takes time, and you don’t have to do it alone.
