Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Leah (they/them), founding director of Kindred Therapy. My mission is to help queer, gender expansive clients to embrace neurodiversity and change their environment to support their individual ways of being. I specialize in affirming therapy with neurodivergent, polyamorous individuals and relationships. I enjoy supporting autistic, queer adults.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach centers anti-oppressive, anti-racist ideology, trauma-informed principles, cultural humility, and body/sex positive approaches. I have extensive experience working with Queer and gender expansive clients. I am EMDR-trained with a relational and practical approach to therapy. I am direct and use humor in my practice.

What you can expect from our first session

What do clients say about therapy with me?

  • They feel held in multiple identity intersections
  • They are supported in the ongoing practice or new exploration of ethical non-monogamy
  • Autistic and neurodivergent clients who have not previously benefited from therapy with neurotypical therapists, finally feel like someone gets it.

What you can expect:

  • to better understand and accept yourself
  • to develop your brain's own user manual
  • to challenge deeply held beliefs that are no longer working

Leah's style is

Participatory
Direct
Affirming
