Great to meet you!

Before becoming a therapist, I spent nine years as a teacher, where I discovered how powerful compassion, patience, and understanding can be in helping others grow. Later, my work in psychiatric and residential treatment settings gave me the opportunity to walk alongside individuals and families during some of their most difficult moments. Those experiences shaped me into the therapist I am today—someone who values safety, trust, and genuine human connection above all else.

Working in treatment centers taught me how to meet people exactly where they are, without judgment. I learned to listen deeply, to hold space for pain, and to help others find calm and strength even when life feels overwhelming. These experiences strengthened my ability to support clients through trauma, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem challenges, and to help them rediscover their resilience and sense of empowerment.

My approach is holistic and person-centered, and I strive to create a warm, nurturing environment where you feel safe to be yourself. Together, we’ll work at your own pace, exploring your story and building tools to help you heal, grow, and move toward a greater sense of peace and balance.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in warmth, safety, and genuine connection. I believe healing happens in a space where you feel truly heard, supported, and accepted just as you are. Together, we move at your pace, exploring your experiences with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment.

I use a person-centered and holistic approach, and I draw from several therapeutic styles to meet your unique needs. My work often incorporates elements of eclectic therapy, humanistic therapy, interpersonal therapy, and trauma-informed care. I also integrate practical tools such as CBT, journaling, workbooks, breathing exercises, and techniques for challenging and replacing negative thoughts. These methods help build insight, strengthen resilience, and support healthier ways of thinking and relating.

Whether you’re working through trauma, navigating anxiety or depression, or rebuilding your sense of self, I strive to offer an environment where you feel grounded, understood, and empowered. My role is to walk alongside you—listening deeply, collaborating with you, and honoring your strengths and lived experiences.

Ultimately, therapy with me is a gentle, supportive journey. You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone, and together we’ll create space for healing, growth, and a renewed sense of inner strength.

What you can expect from me

In our first session together, my priority is to create a space that feels safe, calm, and welcoming—somewhere you can breathe, settle in, and simply be yourself. There is no pressure to share anything before you’re ready. Instead, we take our time getting to know one another and exploring what brought you to therapy.

I’ll invite you to share at your own pace, and I’ll listen with care, curiosity, and without judgment. We’ll talk about what you’re hoping to work on, what you need to feel supported, and what feels most important for your healing right now. Together, we’ll begin to outline some gentle goals—nothing rigid or overwhelming—just a starting point to guide our work.

I’ll also explain my therapy style and the approaches we may use, so you know what to expect and can feel comfortable with the process. My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and a little more grounded than when you arrived.

Most of all, I want your first session to be a place where you feel safe, accepted, and supported—where you can begin your healing journey knowing you don’t have to navigate it alone.
