Great to meet you!

I hold a MS in mental health counseling and I am licensed and board certified (NCC) in NY State. I have over 10 years of experience providing therapy to treat anxiety, depression, trauma disorders, relationship problems, adjustment issues and a variety of other diagnoses and psychosocial stressors. I enjoy working with clients of diverse backgrounds and I modify my approach based on individual needs and preferences. I feel honored to be able to do this meaningful work and I am constantly in awe of the strengths, resilience and ability to make profound life changes that I have witnessed with my clients.

My approach to therapy

I use an integrative therapeutic approach. My primary modalities are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and I also use Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed techniques. Above all I believe in doing whatever works for you as everyone is unique and there is no "one size fits all" therapeutic approach. I begin with a person-centered approach and I will listen and learn about what you have been experiencing. I will foster an atmosphere of equality and mutual respect in the therapeutic relationship and we will collaboratively decide what specific approaches are the best fit for you.

What you can expect from me

I hope that after our first session you will feel a sense of hope that you can start to make the changes you want to see in your life. I believe that you are the expert of you and my role is to bear witness to your experience, teach you some helpful tools, and help guide you on your journey. I will always provide a safe space for you to share whatever you are struggling with and we will collaboratively create a plan that will help you to start living a rich and meaningful life.
