Great to meet you!

I specialize in working with adult clients who feel burned out, overwhelmed, or "stuck in survival mode" despite being capable and high-functioning. Many are veterans navigating trauma, chronic stress, life transitions, or the long-term impact of military or high-responsibility roles. They may feel disconnected from their bodies, emotionally exhausted, or unsure how to slow down without falling apart. They are the ones who "push through" despite themselves.

They are seeking therapy that feels grounded, supportive, and practical - help that honors both resilience and rest while creating meaningful, sustainable change. A space they don't have to be "on".

My style is collaborative. I help you slow down enough to understand what your mind and body are trying to tell you, create nervous-system regulation, boundaries, and emotional clarity, and developing habit that support a more sustainable life. We’ll focus on what actually works - practical tools, actionable strategies, and an evidence-based approach built around your real-life needs.

Therapy can help you find relief, clarity, and a steadier sense of self. If you’re ready to feel more grounded and supported, I’d be honored to work with you.

My approach to therapy

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and clinical supervisor in Texas with a long history (over 20 years) of working with military members and veterans, I bring a variety of life and clinical experience to my practice. Along with my experience in Veterans Affairs, DoD and community mental health settings, I am a daughter of Army Veterans, an Air Force Veteran and wife of a 20 year retiree. Military and service-connected adults do not need to explain the culture to me. I aim to be a reliable, non-stuffy/down to earth source of support to my clients while challenging them toward the growth they seek. No matter how "small" or how "big" those goals are. Being able to laugh and bring authenticity to the therapeutic relationship is important to me. I believe therapy should be a proactive tool everyone should have access to and I believe clients should feel they can bring their authentic selves to the therapy room (virtual or otherwise).

What you can expect from me

During a session with me, you can expect warmth and unconditional positive regard (in other words, I'm not judging). I recognize how challenging it can be to seek and find a good fit in a therapist. I hope to bring that, but if I can't, I will coach you in how you might find the person you need. A collaborative alliance with your therapist is vital. In our sessions, we will work to pinpoint exactly what you are looking to accomplish and setting goals for our work will be the starting point for our work. Next, we will want to understand patterns keeping you stuck in negative behavioral or emotional states and I will provide education and support to arm you with options for practical coping tools to use in your everyday life. I look forward to building a relationship with you.
