Welcome. I'm Leandra, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in South Florida. I obtained my MSW from Florida Atlantic University and have worked at a substance abuse and mental health treatment center before entering private practice where I focus on providing care to BIPOC individuals and college students.
I can help you figure out how your past and current experiences are influencing your current behavior and what's keeping you stuck. I like to use a cognitive-behavioral and values-based approach to reframe the narratives you've been telling yourself that no longer serve you and develop goals to achieve better alignment with your values. I regularly provide worksheets, videos, journal prompts, and book chapters to further help with integrating what you learn in between sessions.
I can help you gain insight into your behavior and identify your strengths and values to better guide you through the next steps in life and do so with increased confidence. My therapeutic philosophy is that therapy is all about insight and that within the right therapeutic environment, insights within you will be uncovered and new insights will be gained.
