Great to meet you!

Today is my favorite day because it is today.

Hi, I’m LeAnn. I’m a licensed mental health counselor who works with men and women from the age of 13 to 99. I specialize in helping people navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional challenges.

❤️ I’m deeply passionate about this work because I’ve lived it. My own recovery journey has shown me just how vital mental health is—not only for healing, but for being able to show up fully in relationships and in life. I believe that if I don’t care for my own mental health, I can’t truly support others or engage in the kind of meaningful connections we all deserve. That understanding drives my commitment to walk alongside my clients with authenticity, empathy, and purpose.

💬 Whether you're just beginning your journey or continuing to work through long-standing issues, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, clarity, and care.

Would you like help crafting a final call to action or contact line? I can also format this for your website, a flyer, or social media profile.

My approach to therapy

🧠 My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Adlerian-based Play Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) concepts. I am trauma-informed and have extensive training in trauma recovery, which allows me to support clients with sensitivity, safety, and deep understanding. Each session is tailored to meet the unique needs of my clients, creating a safe and supportive space for healing and growth.

🎨 What makes my practice unique is my integration of creative art techniques into the therapeutic process. I often incorporate drawing, painting, collage, and other expressive modalities to help clients explore emotions, process experiences, and access insights that may not surface through traditional talk therapy alone. These creative tools offer a powerful way to deepen self-awareness and foster healing, especially for those who find it difficult to express themselves verbally.

What you can expect from me

🗂️ The first session is not a standard talk therapy appointment—it’s a comprehensive assessment designed to give me a clear baseline of where you are and what you need. I conduct a social inventory with a wide range of questions, along with a few assessments, to help me understand your background, current challenges, and goals. This process ensures that our work together is focused, informed, and aligned with your needs from the very beginning.
