Great to meet you!

You may be trying to keep things together while feeling anxious, down, emotionally exhausted, or unsure how to get back to feeling like yourself. Maybe past experiences are still affecting you, relationships have become difficult to navigate, or you're struggling to understand why you keep reacting in ways you don't want to. For teens, this can look like withdrawing, feeling misunderstood, struggling at school, or having emotions that feel difficult to manage. For parents, it may mean trying to support your child while also feeling unsure of what to do next. I work with teens, parents, and adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges, and I strive to make therapy feel warm, genuine, and easy to talk about.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when we're partners in the process. My role is to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and decisions so we can recognize patterns that may be contributing to what you're experiencing. I draw from my experience in inpatient psychiatric care, addiction treatment, and high school counseling to help clients develop practical tools and a deeper understanding of themselves. Depending on your goals, our work may include exercises or resources between sessions to help you practice what we're working on in therapy and continue making progress in your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, talk about what's bringing you to therapy, and identify what you hope will be different. I'll ask questions to better understand where you've been and where you'd like to go, and you'll have plenty of opportunity to ask questions about me and the process. I want you to feel heard, respected, and comfortable being honest. Together, we'll create a plan centered around your goals and take the next steps at a pace that feels manageable.
