Great to meet you!

LeAnna is a seasoned behavioral health leader and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) with more than 20 years of experience strengthening clinical practice, quality improvement, and organizational systems of care. Her work blends deep clinical expertise with operational insight, allowing her to support teams and organizations in delivering trauma‐informed, ethical, and high‐quality behavioral health services.

As a clinician, LeAnna has extensive experience providing individual and group therapy, conducting diagnostic and substance use assessments, and applying evidence‐informed modalities such as motivational interviewing and CBT‐aligned approaches. She is known for her ability to build strong therapeutic alliances, navigate complex clinical presentations, and support recovery‐oriented care for adults with diverse behavioral health needs.

Her clinical leadership extends to developing clinicians through reflective supervision, case consultation, and mentorship that strengthens documentation quality, clinical judgment, and ethical decision‐making. She excels at helping staff grow their confidence and competence while maintaining a supportive, relationship‐centered supervisory style.

LeAnna also contributes to statewide mental health advocacy through her service on the NAMI State Board and remains committed to advancing behavioral health access and system improvement across Colorado.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I work from a trauma‐informed, person‐centered lens, focusing on creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change.

I draw from evidence‐informed practices such as motivational interviewing and CBT‐aligned strategies, integrating them in a way that fits each individual’s needs rather than applying a one‐size‐fits‐all model. I believe therapy works best when it honors the client’s strengths, values, and goals, and when the therapeutic relationship itself becomes a space for healing, insight, and growth.

As both an LPC and LAC, I bring a strong clinical foundation in behavioral health and substance use treatment. I support clients in exploring patterns, building coping skills, and developing healthier ways of navigating challenges, all while maintaining a warm, nonjudgmental, and culturally responsive approach.

Ultimately, my goal is to help people feel more grounded, capable, and connected—to themselves, to their support systems, and to the life they want to build.

What you can expect from me

In our first session together, you can expect a space that feels calm, welcoming, and centered on you. My goal is to help you feel comfortable from the moment we begin. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. You can share as much or as little as feels right — there’s no pressure to have everything figured out.

I’ll ask thoughtful questions to get to know your story, your strengths, and the challenges you’re navigating. I’ll also explain how I work, answer any questions you might have, and check in about what feels most supportive for you moving forward.

Most clients leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and a little lighter knowing they don’t have to carry everything alone. My role is to walk alongside you, at your pace, as we begin building a therapeutic relationship that supports your healing and growth.
