Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Leatrice — and I'm so glad you're here.

I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience walking alongside people through some of life's most challenging moments. My journey in mental health has taken me through inpatient and outpatient settings, where I've served as both a psychiatric nurse and a nurse manager. That range of experience means I bring not just clinical knowledge, but real, grounded insight into how mental health care actually works and how to make it work for you.

I hold a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Walden University and am licensed in Arizona as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. I specialize in anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and PTSD, and I proudly serve adolescents, adults, and seniors across Arizona through convenient telehealth appointments.

As a woman of Black/African and Caucasian descent, I understand the importance of feeling truly seen by your provider not just as a diagnosis, but as a whole person with a unique story. I bring warmth, energy, and an open mind to every session, and I'm committed to creating a space where people from all walks of life feel welcome and understood.

My approach to therapy

At the heart of my practice is one core belief: you are the expert on your own life.

My role isn't to hand you a one-size-fits-all plan it's to partner with you to build something that actually fits. I use evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing to help you identify patterns, shift perspectives, and move toward the life you want. And when appropriate, I also offer medication management as part of a thoughtful, integrated treatment plan.

I bring a compassionate, collaborative, and individualized approach to every session. Whether you're dealing with burnout, navigating a major life transition, or managing a long-standing mental health concern, my goal is simple: to help you build resilience, gain clarity, and feel more like yourself again, on your terms.

What you can expect from me

Think of our first session as a conversation, not an interrogation.

We'll spend our time together getting to know each other. I'll ask about what brought you in, your current symptoms and concerns, your health history, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together. There's no pressure to have it all figured out that's what we're here for.

By the end of our first visit, you won't leave with just a vague "we'll figure it out." You'll walk away with a clear initial treatment plan tailored to your goals whether that includes therapy strategies, lifestyle recommendations, medication support, or a combination of all three. My priority is that you leave feeling heard, supported, and genuinely hopeful about your next steps.

Ready to get started? I'd love to meet you.
