Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Lee! Congratulations on taking this first step to caring for yourself. As a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience, I specialize in helping women and men ages 21 through 121 navigate through some of life’s greatest stressors. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety or sadness caused by loneliness, aging, childhood trauma, a disabling medical condition, work, loss, grief, or something else I’d like to be your partner to wellness. My journey into helping others began at age six when I recognized a budding compassion for others in need of comfort, healing or simply a listening ear. Since then, I’ve used my personal, educational and professional experiences to help many clients gain new perspectives, empower themselves, meet goals and experience happiness that they otherwise thought would never occur. My style is compassionate, encouraging, holistic (mind, body, spirit, emotions) and solution-focused (that is taking larger issues, breaking them down into smaller ones for noticeable gains in a shorter amount of time). I offer my services by video and telephone for my clients' convenience, as it allows them to choose their own safe place while in sessions. When I’m not with my clients, I can be found on my farm putting my family to work and caring for rescued farm animals. Today, together, let’s take another step forward on your path to well-being and joy. Connect now for a consultation. I look forward to helping you on your healing journey.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Counseling is an individualized encounter and because each of my clients is unique and comes to counseling with different goals and needs, I incorporate multiple therapeutic approaches to help them on their path to healing and wholeness. Some of the approaches I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Psychodrama Therapy among others. I also provide therapy from a Christian approach to interested clients who specifically request this type of counseling.

What you can expect from our first session

When we meet, the first session will be focused on getting to know you, why you came and what you hope to get out of therapy. I'll do this by asking questions. It will also give you the opportunity to get to know me.

As we work together, you should then expect to take away from sessions a better self-awareness and understanding of your thoughts, emotions and behaviors; and, the root causes for them; improved coping mechanisms to help you better handle difficult situations; healthier ways to express your needs and feelings to others; and, the knowledge and skills needed to identify and manage patterns that impact your well-being.

Also, you can expect to feel listened to, supported and empowered to work towards your personal goals while in a safe and confidential environment of your choice, which video and telephone counseling provides.
