Great to meet you!

I have worked in a hospital for 30 years, which gives me the knowledge of medical, mental health, grieving and end of the life choices with death, dying & bereavement. I decided to switch fields and go in Social work where I started at HVCC and Cazenovia for undergraduate studies and University of Southern California for MSW. Then I got Certified for Addiction work for 6 years. Working in Addiction you get experienced in mental health, trauma, domestic violence, homelessness, cultural diversity, gang life, and medical issues. I have also learned Reiki, which is a form of holistic traditions. What I love the most is listening, building rapport and allowing individuals find their strengths, capabilities and knowledge to move forwards in their life. Watching people on their journey to wellness is so powerful to watch and for me that is the best feeling ever!

A bit about my approach to therapy

Therapy approaches that I use is individualized. I use array of approaches and I might even pick components out of different modalities and specialize it to you. I normally utilize CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, pros and cons, attachment, talk therapy, narrative, and holistic.

What you can expect from our first session

What you can expect from sessions with me is being heard, talk about the problems they identify as a problem and learn I am guiding them towards a healthy solution.
