Great to meet you!

Most of my career has been in community mental health - sitting with people who weren't sure they deserved help, who had been written off by other providers, or who were navigating serious mental illness and addiction at the same time. That experience shaped everything about how I work. I'm not easily surprised, I don't get overwhelmed by complexity, and I won't treat you like a checklist.

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts, trained at Lesley University with a specialization in trauma. I see adults, adolescents, and older adults virtually, and I take Aetna, Cigna, Carelon Behavioral Health, and Point32 Health. As a Latina provider, I bring cultural humility and lived awareness of the systems many of my clients navigate. You don't have to translate yourself for me.

My approach to therapy

I follow your lead - in terms of pace, goals, and how deep you want to go at any given moment. That's not a passive stance. It means I'm actively reading where you are and adjusting. Some sessions feel collaborative and exploratory; others are more structured and skill-focused. I draw from trauma-focused CBT, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, and schema work, and I choose what fits the moment rather than forcing one method on every problem.

I also believe therapy should connect to your real life - your day-to-day stress, your relationships, your history. We'll build on what's already working for you, not just catalog what's broken.

What you can expect from me

Come as you are. There's no "right" way to show up to a first session with me. I'll ask you what brought you in — not to fill out a form, but because I actually want to understand your situation before I say anything else. I'll want to know one or two things you hope to get out of this, and a bit about what your life looks like right now: your routines, your relationships, where you feel stuck, and what you're still doing well despite everything. By the end, you'll have a clear sense of whether I'm the right fit for you - and if I'm not, I'll tell you honestly and help you find someone who is.
