Dr. Diaz is a board-certified general adult psychiatrist who specializes in treating patients with mental health conditions. He also completed a fellowship in addiction psychiatry and is board-certified in that specialty as well. He graduated from medical school in Memphis and went on to complete a four-year residency in psychiatry at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Diaz then completed a one-year fellowship in addiction psychiatry at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He has provided psychiatric care in a variety of settings, including medical facilities, inpatient psychiatric units, residential rehab centers, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient clinics. In his free time, Dr. Diaz enjoys spending time with his husband and their three cats.

My approach to therapy

In addition to medication management, he has experience with various psychotherapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, supportive psychotherapy, group therapy, and motivational interviewing.
