Great to meet you!

I have been an elementary school counselor since 2003. I enjoy working with children and their parents. I value helping people feel heard, valued, and understood.

In my role as a school counselor I work with students and families on executive functioning, time management, organizational skills, attention, focus, academic success, bullying, relationships, anxiety, grief, trauma, various forms of abuse including sexual abuse.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is listening to my clients to get know them, asking questions to help myself and my client have clarity, and focusing on solutions to solve the issues my client is experiencing. Each client has different issues, desires, and goals so each client is treated individually. Counseling is not a "one size fits all" approach. I have many years of experience working with a wide variety of needs and can adapt to client preference.

What you can expect from me

I teach people how to advocate for what they need to feel secure and be successful. I will encourage my client to set goals for our sessions. I will be an accountability partner to help my client reach their goals and overcome the problem at hand.
