Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Leigh Ann Hewes, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 30+ years of experience in the field. Much of my professional experience has been in the medical field, and I've always enjoyed working with older adults, as well as those with chronic health conditions or terminal illnesses (and their families and caregivers). I enjoy getting to know people's "stories" about how they got to where they are, and how I can help them gain peace and happiness in their lives.

My approach to therapy

I take a varied approach to working with clients, depending on each individual's needs and desires for their life. I believe that every human has value and deserves to live their life as the best version of themselves. I enjoy using cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing techniques, and I fully believe that telling your story is cathartic in itself. First and foremost, I am here to listen to you. I will never push you to conform to what someone else wants you to do or be.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I'd like to discover what makes you who you are, and also what changes or challenges you are facing.
