Great to meet you!

Dr. Leigh Richardson is a high-performance brain specialist, coach, and counselor. She uses CBT to identify negative thoughts, negative behavior, and feelings and DBT to build skills needed to manage and regulate emotions. Her goal for each client is to make the needed change with ten sessions. She specializes in stress management, ADHD, autism, anxiety, and depression.

My approach to therapy

My counseling style is direct, transparent, and grounded in the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe that our thoughts shape our behaviors, and our behaviors influence how we feel. When negative thoughts go unchecked, they often lead to unhelpful actions and emotional distress. Together, we’ll explore these patterns with honesty and curiosity, not judgment, so we can interrupt that cycle and build healthier ways of thinking and living. I want to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to engage fully in your own growth. Connection is at the heart of this work, and I’m here to walk with you every step of the way.

What you can expect from me

Clients leave sessions with greater clarity about how their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions are connected. They feel empowered knowing they have the ability to shift negative patterns and take an active role in their growth. The space feels safe, warm, and collaborative, fostering trust and genuine connection. Each session offers practical tools or insights they can apply in daily life. Most importantly, clients walk away with a renewed sense of hope and direction
