Great to meet you!

You may be used to staying strong for everyone else.

You pour into others, keep going when you're exhausted, and carry responsibilities that few people truly see. Over time, that kind of weight can leave you feeling

overwhelmed, anxious, discouraged, or simply worn out.

I especially support Black women and other women of color, as well as first responders, educators, leaders, and other helping professionals who are navigating life transitions, grief, trauma, work stress, family responsibilities, or challenges related to race, identity, and belonging.

Therapy offers a place to exhale.

Together, we'll create a warm, culturally responsive space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported as you move toward greater peace, emotional wellness, stronger boundaries, and renewed hope. If you desire, Christian faith, prayer, and biblically grounded encouragement can also be thoughtfully woven into our work.

My approach to therapy

My Approach

I believe healing happens within safe, collaborative relationships where you are treated with compassion, dignity, and respect. Every person's story is unique, so I tailor therapy to your individual needs, strengths, and goals.

My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, strengths-based and empowerment-focused approaches, along with culturally responsive care that honors your lived experiences.

My work is informed by nearly 30 years of serving individuals, families, and communities affected by trauma, addiction, injustice, and significant life stress. Through experience in clinical practice, higher education, leadership, ministry, and community service, I've witnessed both the resilience people carry and the burdens they often bear.

When it supports your goals, I may also incorporate reflection and journaling to deepen insight and encourage lasting growth. For clients who desire it, Christian faith can be integrated in a way that is compassionate, respectful, and centered on your healing journey.

What you can expect from me

What to Expect

Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you're used to carrying so much on your own.

During our first session, you'll find a welcoming space where you can share your story without judgment. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, explore what you're hoping for, and begin identifying meaningful goals for this season of your life.

Together, we'll start making room for healing by tending to what feels heavy, easing overwhelm, building on your strengths, and moving toward greater clarity, peace, and hope—one step at a time.
