Great to meet you!

I know reaching that first client is a big deal, so here’s a tightened, more conversational version that keeps the same order and three-paragraph structure:

I’m a licensed social worker, and I believe therapy should feel compassionate, affirming, and truly connecting. I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, stress, substance use, identity concerns, chronic illness, job loss, and life transitions. I especially enjoy supporting women and also welcome clients of all genders. My goal is for you to feel seen, heard, and supported as we work toward healing, clarity, and lasting change, with space for Christian faith if that’s important to you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to what you need most right now. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered and strengths-based approaches, Motivational Interviewing, empowerment-focused work, and cultural humility. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way, build on your strengths, and create practical strategies that support real, sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where your preferences are respected. You’ll have time to share your story, what brought you to therapy, and what you hope will be different. From there, we’ll start identifying ways to lower overwhelm, increase clarity, and build tools you can use in daily life. Whether you prefer a faith-based lens or a more secular one, I’ll honor what feels right for you as we move forward together.
