Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Leila Hashemi, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping individuals feel seen, heard, and supported in their mental health journey. I have a strong background in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions openly.

My approach is collaborative and client-centered, integrating evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques. I believe that mental health is deeply connected to overall well-being, and I work with clients to build practical tools that support both emotional and physical health.

I earned my degree in social work and have experience working in diverse clinical settings, allowing me to support clients from various backgrounds and life stages. My goal is to empower you with insight, coping strategies, and confidence so you can navigate challenges and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs. I believe that effective therapy starts with creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being open and authentic without fear of judgment.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my primary goal is to get to know you and understand what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about your current concerns, symptoms, personal history, and what you’re hoping to gain from treatment. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—this is a space for you to move at your own pace.

I focus on creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable being open and heard. Building trust is essential, and I want you to feel that this is a place where your experiences are validated and respected.

We’ll also begin identifying your goals for therapy—whether that’s reducing anxiety, improving mood, navigating life transitions, or building healthier coping strategies. From there, I’ll share how I typically work and collaborate with you to create a plan that feels realistic and aligned with your needs.

By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of your challenges, initial tools or insights to start with, and a sense of direction for how we’ll move forward together.
