Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Lena, a mental health therapist helping people break through emotional survival mode and reconnect with themselves and the ones that they love. I specialize in working with individuals who feel stuck in cycles of depression, anxiety, and emotional burnout—especially those who’ve carried more than their share for too long. I also specialize in trauma-informed therapy that blends deep healing with practical tools—because healing shouldn’t feel like guesswork. I support parents who are struggling to connect with their kids, whether it’s due to stress, trauma, or parenting children with behavioral or conduct challenges. My work focuses on rebuilding emotional safety, trust, and communication in the family. Expect honesty, warmth, guidance, and deep support, whether you’re just trying to get through the day or trying to rewrite your story from the ground up. I’m here to walk with you through deep psychological shifts, often in areas that feel: • Dark • Painful • Shame-filled • Buried or avoided Reclaim your identity after trauma or betrayal • Process grief or emotional loss • Break survival patterns and reconnect to themselves • Reframe old stories that kept you stuck in shame, fear, or people-pleasing • Build boundaries and self-worth from the inside out. My approach blends emotional safety with practical tools, so you can heal at your own pace—and actually feel better.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and deeply practical. I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as we make sense of what’s been heavy, stuck, or overwhelming — and create meaningful change. I work from a client-centered and solution-focused foundation, which means our work together is guided by your goals, your values, and your pace. We will spend time understanding your experiences, but we won’t stay stuck in them. Therapy with me is about insight and forward movement. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tools in a way that feels grounded and usable in real life. Together, we’ll explore how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact — and build skills to regulate emotions, manage anxiety, improve communication, and shift unhelpful patterns. I also take a holistic view of healing. Mental health is not separate from your body, relationships, culture, stress levels, and life experiences. We will look at the full picture — not just symptoms. Above all, I create a space that is warm, nonjudgmental, and honest. Therapy should feel safe — but it should also feel empowering and transformative.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about connection, safety, and clarity — not pressure or perfection. We’ll start by getting to know each other. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, what’s been feeling heavy, and what you’re hoping might change. You don’t need to have the “right words,” a clear goal, or a full story prepared. You can go at your own pace. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, current stressors, strengths, and supports. This helps me get a holistic picture of you — not just a list of symptoms. We may also talk about what has and hasn’t worked for you in the past, so we can shape therapy in a way that feels supportive and effective. You can expect the space to be nonjudgmental, collaborative, and emotionally safe. I will never push you to share more than you’re ready for. My priority is helping you feel grounded and understood.
