Lenaida Rodriguez

Hi! My name is Lenaida "Lennie" Rodriguez. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). I work with children ages 12+, teens, individual adults, couples and families. Some speciality areas are couples work, grief and loss, substance abuse, perinatal mental health. I am bilingual and have a deep passion for assisting in enhancing the lives of others and empowering them to identify their strengths to overcome their personal obstacles.

I am originally from the Rio Grande Valley and moved to San Antonio to pursue my education and identify other areas of self growth. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University-San Antonio in Psychology. I continued my education and obtained a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University.

During my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, swimming, baking, and working on creative projects.

My approach to therapy is warm and empathetic while also being direct and challenging. I value and respect the therapeutic relationship that must be built. Therefore I place a high regard on building rapport with my clients with an open mind and understanding.

In our first session I will briefly introduce myself, my approach, policies, and procedures. I like to hear from my clients how they describe themselves, reason for seeking therapy and their goals and expectations. As the first session is being wrapped up we will mutually discuss goals and expectations.
