Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Leo Gonzalez. I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York. I graduated from St. John's University with my M.S. Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a person-centered approach. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults struggling with emotional, behavioral, and relational difficulties.

My approach to therapy

My goal as a clinician is dedicated to helping YOU become empowered to discover your greatness. Together we will work on learning new coping skills and challenging self-defeating thoughts to accomplish and achieve your goals. I understand that each client I work with is a unique individual and embraces cultural sensitivity. I aim to provide a safe and empathic environment to help all clients feel comfortable throughout their counseling journey.

What you can expect from me

I teach my clients to replace unhelpful self-defeating thinking patterns and behaviors with productive ones. Change is difficult, but you have taken the first steps toward making a change in your life.
