Great to meet you!

Hi there! My name is Leola D'Aversa and I am a licensed professional counselor, and owner of Healing at the Source, LLC. I earned my BA in psychology from Spelman College and my MA in clinical mental health from Argosy University. I have worked in various mental health settings including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, community agencies, and private practice. My niche is working with young adults suffering from anxiety, depression, life transitions, and grief/loss.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative. I believe that the entire process is a team effort. I may be considered the professional, but you are the expert on your life. I am simply here to provide guidance and the necessary tools that will assist you along your healing journey. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is my therapeutic modality of choice. During therapy we will learn how your thoughts influence your emotions, behaviors, and ultimately your experiences.

What you can expect from me

As my client, you can expect to gain a new perspective and way of handling your stressors. No one is immune from life's challenges but adversity breeds strength! My goal is to help you regain control over the areas you are struggling in so that you can live a happier, well-balanced life.
