Great to meet you!

I've completed a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University, and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University. I have 8 years of counseling experience working with those dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, navigating/enhancing relationships and processing feelings of grief/loss. For those in the Christian community, faith-based approaches and fellowship can also be offered if interested.

My approach to therapy

In general, my approach is to be respectful, patient, and helpfully curious to learn about each of my clients, so that we can ultimately work together to establish and reach treatment goals. If you want to get technical, cognitive-behavioral therapy, compassion-focused therapy, and psychodynamic approaches are a few main treatment modalities used in order to help alleviate symptoms and enhance coping skills.

What you can expect from me

Clients should expect to feel heard, understood and taken seriously during sessions. I hope to make uncomfortable topics easier to talk about. Whether it's identifying triggers of symptoms, developing coping skills, adopting different perspectives, enhancing values or just talking through some things, clients should ultimately find relief, self-awareness, and confidence.
