Great to meet you!
Hi, I’m Leona Esmaeily-Aimua, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #142467) with a master’s degree from California Baptist University. I specialize in helping individuals and couples navigate anxiety, panic, trauma, depression, OCD, eating disorders, ADHD, and relationship challenges.
Opening up about your struggles can feel overwhelming, especially if you come from a culture or family where emotions weren’t openly discussed. My goal is to make therapy a safe and supportive space where you can finally speak freely, feel heard, and begin to heal.
A Bit of My Story
As a Middle Eastern/Assyrian woman, I grew up in an environment where expressing emotions wasn’t encouraged. Happiness was celebrated, but sadness, fear, or vulnerability were often kept inside. Over time, I realized how this silence can disconnect us from ourselves and the people we love.
Through my own experience with anxiety, therapy became my turning point, it taught me the power of understanding, feeling, and healing. That journey inspired me to become a therapist and to help others especially those raised in similar cultures learn that it’s okay to open up and that strength can be found in vulnerability.
