Leroy Gonzales

My name is Lee Gonzales M.A.,LPC a solo practitioner since 2010. I hold a master's degree in counseling (2006) from Stephen F. Austin State University. I earned a bachelor's degree in 1999 from Sam Houston state university. I have over two decades of experience working with young children, adolescents and adults of all ages. My specialty is substance abuse treatment (IOP) and aftercare. I work with teenagers who are already on juvenile probation for various offenses including: drug possession, assault/fighting in school or family violence. I also see adults in my office for substance abuse counseling, treatment or for aftercare. My work includes helping children, adolescents or adults with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, or anger related issues.

Working with a client starts with establishing rapport. Trust is built essentially, 'brick by brick' over time. I like to meet client's right where they are in life, without judgement. This approach helps me succeed with client's, no matter their issue.

A new client in their first session can expect to be heard, understood, and feel as though there is a workable solution. My outcome for each client is they leave each session progressing, feeling positive, and moving toward a common goal.
